Spanish Workshop

We had the fantastic opportunity to learn some Spanish and try out traditional flamingo dancing from real Spanish people. It was super fun, look at our cool moves!

Climate Change Protest 

Year 6 took part in a peaceful climate change protest inspired by Greta Thunberg's Fridays for Future movement.  

Catching Butterflies 

The author of the Catching Butterflies novel Lynn Fleming, which Year 6 are reading came to visit us. We loved hearing about her experiences as a pupil at Edwards and what inspired her to write the novel! Thank you Lynn! 

Robotics Workshop

Year 6 had a fantastic time at the Robotics Workshop in Omagh Academy developing their programming and problem solving skills. Well done to Luke and Tyler who won the race!! 

Easter Fun Run 

African Drumming 

Year 6 loved learning African drumming, sounds super!

Viking Trip

Year 6 had a fantastic time at the Navan Centre learning about Vikings, we even met a real one!! 

World Book Day

Chinese New Year

Nikki from the Culture Quarter came to teach Year 6 about Chinese New Year. She showed us how to use chop sticks and we tried to pick up pasta. It was lots of fun!

Pyjama Party!!!

Year 6 were extra cosy on pyjama day while also raising money for charitable causes.

Verse Speaking 

Well done to Year 6 boys and girls for their fantastic efforts in verse speaking. Rois was super impressed!

Football Madness 

Linfield player, Matthew Clarke, came to teach Year 6 some cool football skills. We had a blast!

Santa Claus is coming to town!!!

Santa made a special visit to Edwards Primary School today in an ice cream van! He brought us delicious treats, thank you Santa

The best way to spread festive cheer is singing loud for all to hear! 

Well done to Year 6 carol singers who were spreading some festive cheer at the local nursing homes. Ho ho ho!

Fun Friday! 

Year 6 enjoyed using their maths skills to play some fun maths board games as a Friday treat for working super hard all week! Well done everyone!

Year 6 whizzed their way through the Daily Mile Santa Run, look at them go!!!!

Volcano Eruptions!!!!

Look at our amazing volcano eruptions, we used water, vinegar and bicarbonate of soda to make them EXPLODE!!!!

The Water Cycle

Lisa from the water agency came to teach us all about where our water comes from. She even did a cool experiment where we made our own water cycle in a bowl and saw the processes in action! 

Brilliant Butterflies....

Year 6 have been learning about the lifecycle of a butterfly as part of their Circle of Life topic. We even have our own butterfly garden in the classroom where we are watching caterpillars turn into butterflies! 

 

Check us out, we are busy researching different species of butterflies from across the world. We wonder what species will emerge from our chrysalises....
