What is STEM? STEM is an acronym for science, technology, engineering and maths.  At Edwards we use STEM subjects to develop creators, thinkers, problem solvers, doers, innovators and inventors!

Have a look at what we got up to during our STEM week!

Congratulations to all our STEM week certificate winners!

A big thank you for coming along to our end of STEM week celebration!

Year 6 created Pneumatic Dragons for STEM week. It gave us the opportunity to focus on science and technology this week. We looked in particular at  pneumatics which is the force exerted by compressed air. Using a pump and a plastic tubing we made a monster with a  moving jaw. The  children  were delighted with their new toy and enjoyed pneumatic force to open and close their wonderfully made  monster’s mouth. In addition we had a parent  STEM presentation in our hall where we were able to see all the fantastic creations throughout he school.
