We have been learning about Reaching Out...
We are thinking about Reaching Out and working together and also about different types of bridges that reach out across land and water.
Castlederg Apple Fair...
We all got to make a lantern and to take part in the Apple Fair Parade.

Year 5 Class Assembly
RSPB Bird Watch
We had great fun looking out our classroom window and going around the school grounds looking for birds. We saw lot's of birds such as crows, sparrows, wrens and thrushes. Miss Baxter submitted our results to the RSPB.
Country File
We have been learning all about the countryside and farming, we have carried out experiments and lot's of research.

We all enjoyed saying our poem, well done to everyone!
Year 5 went to Dungannon South West College to visit the STEM Centre, we had a fantastic day. We enjoyed the Farm Life programme, we got to test milk samples for fat, make ice-cream and programme robots to move around a farm. It was brilliant fun.
Pancake Tuesday...
World Book Day...
We all dressed up as our favourite book character, it was great fun. We read stories to the boys and girls in Year 1 and we did lot's of World Book Day Activities.
Our class novel is Charlotte's Web - we completed different science investigations.
We enjoy having visitors in Year 5, so far we have had a visit from the Royal British Legion, Culture Quarter, Action Cancer The Dairy Council and the Fire Service. We found out lot's of information about Prince William, diversity, eating healthy and fire safety.

Road Safety Week...
During Road Safety Week we found out lot's of information about keeping safe on the roads. The PSNI came to visit and talked to us all about Bike Safety. We also went on a road safety walk.
