Cycling Proficiency

The Cycling Proficiency scheme is offered annually as one of our extra curricular activities.  It is available to pupils in Year 7.  To participate in this scheme each pupil must have a roadworthy bicycle, a safety helmet and be able to ride a bicycle.   It is an excellent way for cyclists to build confidence, develop skills and cycling techniques.  It helps to increase pupil's awareness of road safety .  Pupils learn how to ride a bike safely, rules of the road and how to negotiate junctions.  Each pupil who is trained and reaches the required standard of the test receives a certificate and badge in recognition of their achievement.
